UM Metro Students Achieve International Recognition at PTMA Global and Cultural Exposure 2026

International UM Metro — Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro (UM Metro) continues to strengthen its global presence as three of its students earned outstanding achievements at the PTMA Global and Cultural Exposure 2026, hosted by Muhammadiyah University of Malaysia from April 15 to 18, 2026.

The international program brought together students from Muhammadiyah universities worldwide, providing a platform for cultural exchange, innovation, and global collaboration. UM Metro delegates demonstrated remarkable excellence across multiple competition categories.

Fadhila Sihombing, an undergraduate student from the English Education Study Program (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education), achieved exceptional results by winning 1st Place in Public Speaking (Group 8), 5th Runner-Up in Talent Show, and Most Engaging Video in the Content Creation category. Her achievements highlight strong public communication skills and digital creativity in an international setting.

Another English Education student, Kayla Zalfa, secured 3rd Runner-Up in Content Creation – International Competition, reflecting her ability to produce innovative and globally relevant creative content.

Meanwhile, Indah Mega Fitrianingrum from the Management Study Program (Faculty of Economics and Business) earned 3rd Runner-Up in Talent Show – International Competition, showcasing confidence and artistic talent on an international stage.

These accomplishments underline UM Metro’s commitment to nurturing globally competitive students who are equipped not only with academic excellence but also with strong soft skills, creativity, and intercultural competence.

Through participation in international programs such as this, UM Metro continues to position itself as a forward-looking institution dedicated to producing graduates who are innovative, adaptable, and ready to contribute to the global community.
