Three Students of UM Metro Intern at Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School, Thailand
Three students from the Faculty of Law, Muhammadiyah University (UM) Metro took part in International Internship and Community Services Programs in Thailand for 1 month.
They are Arbi Tio Suhendro, Osama Atta Al-Ghozi, and M. Ridho Atmaja. The three of them were placed at Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School in Sadao District, Songkhla Province, Thailand starting from 09 February-04 March 2023.
Head of the Center for Cooperation and International Affairs Office UM Metro Fenny Thresia, S.Pd., M.Pd. asked the three of them to take advantage of this opportunity to learn many things.
“Take advantage of this opportunity to learn many things here. "There are many companions who can be asked, the important thing is not to be embarrassed to ask," he said when releasing the three of them in front of the school leadership, on Monday (13/02/2023).
Fenny then asked for guidance and direction from the school during the three internships in Sadao District.
"We ask for guidance and direction from the school for our three students who are interning here. If our students are not quite right in speaking or behaving, we apologize. "Because of the cultural differences between Indonesia and Thailand, maybe what we consider polite in Indonesia is not polite here," he added.
Deputy Manager of Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School, Mr. Preecha Reongsmut, who is usually called Ustadz Zaki, explained that he was ready to provide guidance to the three UM Metro students.
“Thank you for choosing Sadao as an internship place for Indonesian students. "Later we will also accompany them for internships at LBH in Pattani, Songkhla, Narathiwat," he said.
